Czech Airlines cuts capacity for Winter 2009/10 and markets three aircraft

Czech Airlines Vice President, Petr Pistelak, announced the carrier plans to reduce capacity in its Winter Schedule 2009/10 by 5% year-on-year (Prague Daily Mirror, 21-Sep-09). Mr Pistelak added the schedule maintains emphasis on Eastern European markets. The carrier plans to suspend services to Manchester and New York, while it will reduce frequencies to Oslo, Riga and Zilna. Other cost cutting measures include selling three B737 aircraft and retrenching their maintenance staff and crew.
