Cuba approves JetBlue's upcoming US-Cuba service, first to begin in half a century

Cuba's VP of foreign affairs AnaTeresita González, via her official Twitter account, confirmed (25-Aug-2016) JetBlue Airways will offer scheduled US-Cuba service for the first time in half a century on 31-Aug-2016. Cuba's Foreign Ministry retweeted her comments, but stressed only eligible passengers can travel to Cuba. JetBlue will launch service from Fort Lauderdale to Villa Cara on 31-Aug-2016, while American Airlines will begin Miami-Cuba service in Sep-2016.
