Chinese and Japanese airports understand the needs of LCCs: AirAsia Group CEO

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, speaking at the CAPA LCC Airports Congress, said (15-Sep-2015) airports in China and Japan have a "fantastic" understanding of the needs of LCCs. Mr Fernandes said Japanese airports are "leading the way forward" and the LCC sector will "explode" in Japan due to the proactive approach of airports in the country. Mr Fernandes said Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport and Osaka Kansai International Airport in particular recognise the "huge opportunity" in Japan.
