China's exports jump 25%, imports up 24% in Sep-2010

China's General Administration of Customs reported China's exports jumped 25.1% year-on-year to USD145.0 billion in Sep-2010, but stated the pace of growth slowed from the 33.4% surge in Aug-2010 (Xinhua, 13-Oct-2010). China's imports rose 24.1% to USD128.1 billion in Sep-2010, bringing the nation's trade surplus for the first nine months of 2010 to USD120.6 billion, down 10.5% year-on-year. China's Sep-2010 trade surplus fell to USD16.9 billion. For the first nine months of 2010, China's trade with the European Union, the US and Japan, rose 34.4% to USD349.5 billion, 31.5% to USD278.5 billion and 32.2% to USD214.5 billion, respectively.
