Chile pax up 16%, cargo up 5% in Jan-2012

Chile's Civil Aeronautics Board reported (27-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2012:

Passenger numbers: 1.4 million, +15.9% year-on-year;
- Domestic: 765,557, +15.8%;
  - LAN Express: 385,180, +27.1%;
  - LAN: 214,888, +7.3%;
  - Sky Airline: 132,739, +7.5%;
  - PAL Airlines: 28,781, -6.9%;
  - Aerovias: 3969, +20.3%;
- International: 675,447, +16.0%;
  - LAN: 334,169, +22.6%;
Cargo volume:
- Domestic: 2314 tonnes, +5.0%;
- International: 21,038 tonnes, -4.7%.
