Busy Jul-2014 sees MAG airports passenger numbers exceed five million

UK's Manchester Airport Group reported (13-Aug-2014) passenger numbers at its airports of Manchester, London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth, continued to show robust growth in Jul-2014, with the four airports handling more than five million passengers, an increase of 8% year-on-year. Bournemouth was the only airport to record a decline in passengers, with Manchester recording a growth of 6.2%, +12.2% at London Stansted and +3.8% at East Midlands. Commenting on the results, CEO Charlie Cornish said, "July was another good month for the business and increased passenger numbers demonstrate another sign that consumers are growing more confident about the economy.
