Berlin Airports reports passenger traffic increase of 5.1% in Jul-2011

Germany's Berlin Airports, which operates both Tegel and Schoenefeld airports, reports passenger traffic up 5.1% - traffic highlights in Jul-2011:

• Passenger numbers: 2,272,062, +5.1%;
  • Berlin Tegel: 1,586,602, +10.8%;
  • Berlin Schoenefeld: 685,460, -6.2%;
• Aircraft movements: 20,875, -14%;
• Air cargo: 2792 tonnes, +16.3%.

In the year-to-date period, passenger traffic is up 10.4% to 13.56 million and air cargo is up 28.3% to 18,744 tonnes.
