ANA Holdings and Vietnam Airlines conclude final contract for business and capital partnership

ANA Holdings and Vietnam Airlines signed (28-May-2016) a final contract for a business and capital partnership, under which ANA will acquire an 8.8% stake in Vietnam Airlines for VND2431 billion (USD108.6 million). The share subscription is scheduled to take place in Jul-2016. The carriers will launch codeshare operations covering 30 domestic routes in Japan and Vietnam and 10 international routes between the countries, effective 30-Oct-2016. Members of the airlines' frequent flyer programmes will be able to earn miles on codeshare routes and redeem miles with both carriers from 30-Oct-2016. The airlines also plan to collaborate on check-in, cargo handling, ground handling, catering, aircraft maintenance and other services at airports in Japan and Vietnam.
