Airways New Zealand to increase fees, remain unprofitable for two years

Airways New Zealand announced plans to proceed with a 7.5% fee increase from 01-Jul-2010, with an increase of between NZD0.50 and NZD0.90 (USD0.33-0.60) per passenger per flight (Radio New Zealand, 05-Jun-2010). Airways New Zealand, which held back a price increase during the global financial downturn, stated that despite the increase, the state-owned enterprise would slip into the red for two years.
