Airbus: A380 customers increasingly deploying aircraft on ultra-long range routes

Airbus noted (16-Jul-2014) airlines are planning to deploy the A380 on long-haul routes of more than 7000 miles. The A380's longest current routes is Emirates' 7200nm service from Dubai to Los Angeles, launched in Dec-2013. Emirates also is planning to deploy the A380 on two other 7000-nm-plus services this year, with flights connecting Dallas and Houston to its Dubai base. Qantas is scheduled to debut the A380 on the world's longest route - approximately 7500 nm - between Sydney and Dallas later in 2014. [more - original PR]
