Airbus A320 re-engine decision not affected by Bombardier order

Airbus Chief Operating Officer, John Leahy, stated the manufacturer does not see a "very strong threat" from Bombardier's 100-149 seat CSeries aircraft and the recent order win of 50 aircraft from Republic Airways, does not affect a decision on "re-engineing" the A320 "in any way" (Bloomberg, 28-Feb-2010).
