Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 5.6% – traffic highlights for May-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 960,000, +5.6% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 859,000, +6.0%;
    • Domestic: 657,000, +7.5%;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 202,000, +1.5%;
    • Long-haul: 102,000, +2.0%;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 33,000, -19%;
    • North America/UK: 68,000, +16.7%;
  • Passenger load factor: 81.7%, +2.0 ppts;
    • Short-haul: 83.1%, +2.1 ppts;
    • Domestic: 83.9%, +5.0 ppts;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 82.6%, +0.4 ppt;
    • Long-haul: 80.5%, +1.8 ppts;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 76.2%, +2.9 ppts;
