Air New Zealand pax numbers up 3% with 82% load factor in May-2014, group-wide yields up

Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 3.1% - traffic highlights for May-2014:

  • Passenger numbers: 990,000, +3.1% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 884,000, +2.9%;
    • Domestic: 672,000, +2.3%;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 212,000, +4.9%;
    • Long-haul: 106,000, +4.4%;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 36,000, +8.1%;
    • North America/UK: 70,000, +2.6%;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.2%, +0.5 ppt;
    • Short-haul: 81.7%, -1.4 ppts;
    • Domestic: 79.8%, -4.1 ppts;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 82.9%, +0.3 ppt;
    • Long-haul: 82.6%, +2.1 ppts;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 79.1%, +2.9 ppts;
