Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 7.4% - traffic highlights in Sep-2010:

- Short-haul: 1.1 million, +8.2%;
- Domestic: 825,000, +8%;
- Tasman/Pacific: 285,000, +8.8%;
- Long-haul: 161,000, +1.9%;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 63,000, -1.6%;
- North America/UK: 99,000, +5.3%;
- Short-haul: 1.1 million, +8.2%;
- Passenger load factor: 86.2%, +3.9 ppts;
- Short-haul: 84.3%, +5.3 ppts;
- Domestic: 82.7%, +5.9 ppts;
- Tasman/Pacific: 85.2%, +5.0 ppts;
- Long-haul: 87.7%, +3.0 ppts;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 84.6%, +2.7 ppts

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 4.4% on the same period last year. Compared to last September, year to date Short Haul yields were down 1.4%, as the airline continued to lower fares which stimulated demand, and the respective Long Haul yields were up by 11.3%.
