Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 3.1% – traffic highlights for Jan-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.0 million, +3.1% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 869,000, +4.2%;
    • Domestic: 601,000, +3.2%;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 268,000, +6.5%;
    • Long-haul: 141,000, -3.3%;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 57,000, -7.4%;
    • North America/UK: 84,000, -0.2%;
  • Passenger load factor: 87.2%, +0.9 ppt;
    • Short-haul: 85.7%, -0.3 ppt;
    • Domestic: 83.6%, -0.2 ppt;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 86.6%, -0.4 ppt;
    • Long-haul: 88.3%, +1.8 ppts;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 83.5%, +0.7 ppt;
