Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 0.2% – traffic highlights for Jun-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.1 million, +0.2% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 980,000, -1.2%;
      • Domestic: 724,000, -1.7%;
      • Tasman/Pacific: 256,000, +0.2%;
    • Long-haul: 144,000, +10.9%;
      • Asia/Japan/UK: 57,000, +14%;
      • North America/UK: 87,000, +8.9%;
  • Passenger load factor: 83.6%, -0.7 ppt;
    • Short-haul: 81.6%, -2.2 ppts;
      • Domestic: 78.9%, -1.8 ppts;
      • Tasman/Pacific: 83.1%, -2.4 ppts;
    • Long-haul: 85.1%, +0.5 ppt;

Air New Zealand: “Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 3% on the same period last year. Compared to Jun-2011, year to date Short Haul yields were up 1%.
