Air New Zealand pax up 11% to 1.2m with 86% load factor in Apr-2015, group-wide yields up

Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 11.2% - traffic highlights for Apr-2015:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.2 million, +11.2% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 1.0 million, +9.5%;
    • Domestic: 764,000 million, +11.2%;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 266,000, +5.1%;
    • Long-haul: 136,000, +25.8%;
    • Asia/Japan: 60,000, +56.8%;
    • North America/UK: 76,000, +8.8%;
  • Passenger load factor: 85.5%, +2.4 ppts;
    • Short-haul: 85.4%, +2.7 ppts;
    • Domestic: 85.9%, +6.0 ppt;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 85.1%, +1.0 ppts;
    • Long-haul: 85.6%, +2.1 ppts;
    • Asia/Japan: 87.7%, +4.1 ppts;

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 0.6% on the same period last year. Short Haul yields were up 2.3%, while Long Haul yields were down 0.8%,negatively impacted by foreign exchange movements.
