Abu Dhabi Airport to see 12% growth in seat capacity in 2012

UAE's Abu Dhabi International Airport is expected (26-Sep-2012) to see 12% growth in seat capacity from 8.9 million in 2011 to 9.9 million in 2012, according to OAG. Departures from the airport are expected to increase 8% from 50,700 in 2011 to 54,600 in 2012. Etihad Airways is expected to increase the number of seats it provides at the airport by 15% from 6.1 million in 2011 to 7 million in 2012. The number of seats available from Abu Dhabi to Asia is expected to increase by 15% to 3.5 million in 2012. Seats to the Middle East are expected to reach 3 million and seats to Europe are expected to increase 17% to 2.2 million. Available seats to Africa are expected to increase 25% to 672,000 in 2012.
