Visitor arrivals from Taiwan return

Analysis

BANGKOK (Tourism Authority of Thailand) - Thailand's share of Taiwan's outbound travel market is back to normal, reported Samporn Maneemaitreejit, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Taipei office.

To accommodate increasing demand, from November 2006 onwards, China Airlines will be adding on two more flights bringing the total number of weekly flights to Chiang Mai to five.

China Airlines will continue to operate chartered services to Phuket every other day from August 23 to end October. The nine travel agents who operate charter flights to Phuket are positive about the market.

TAT Director Samporn Maneemaitreejit also added that Lion Travel, the biggest travel agent, has youth groups of up to 1,000 persons travelling to Bangkok and Pattaya in early September.
