MTU Aero Engines up, Boeing & EADS shares waiting on programme decisions – Suppliers Share Wrap
MTU Aero Engines gained 3.2% on Wednesday, as the company's upwards share price run continues. Rolls-Royce gained 0.7%. Major aircraft manufacturers Boeing and EADS (parent of Airbus) were up by 0.1% yesterday.
Both aircraft manufacturers are somewhat in suspended animation at the moment: Boeing is waiting on the first flight of the B787, due before the end of the month, while EADS is currently in negotiations with customers over its EUR20 billion A400M programme.
Embraer gained 0.7% yesterday. The company's major competitor in the regional jet and business jet market, Bombardier, confirmed late last month that it would reduce regional jet output in 2010, cutting more staff.
