Falls in North American airline shares continue

Analysis

The sharp falls seen in North American airline share prices eased on Tuesday, although shares were down almost across the board for airlines listed in the US and Canada. WestJet was down 2.6%, while Delta Air Line dropped 1.9%

Stock prices were up at US Airways and Hawaiian Airlines, while GOL gained 3.9%. The carrier reported a 4.5% increase in Feb-2011 traffic and a 0.5ppt improvement in load factors.
