Air Arabia Maroc confirms Alexandria service; Wataniya appoints new director of human resources

Air Arabia (Maroc), a joint venture between various Moroccan investors and Air Arabia (+0.7%), confirmed on Tuesday (07-Sep-2010) plans to launch Casablanca-Alexandria service in Oct-2010, with the route representing the 12th destination on Air Arabia's growing network from Morocco.

Wataniya Airways, subsidiary of Kuwait National Airways (-1.2%), announced the appointment of Dr Mohammad Ameen Ahmad as its new Director of Human Resources.

Fly540, subsidiary of Lonrho (0%), announced plans to launch daily Nairobi-Dar es Salaam service on 20-Sep-2010. The carrier also announced the Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft will now be utilised on all services between Nairobi, Mwanza/Tanzania and Bujumbura/Burundi.

African shares fell on Tuesday (07-Sep-2010) with 1time (-1%), Air Mauritius (-0.7%), Kenya Airways (-0.5%) and Comair (-0.5%) down.
