About

Established in 1965 as Tropair, Safair is a South African charter carrier based in Johannesburg. Tropair changed their name to Safair Freighters in 1970 and later commenced operations as Safair on 18-Mar-1970. Safair also provides leasing, maintenance, special operations and training services. Safair is the parent company of low cost carrier FlySafair and also an associate airline of ASL Aviation Group.
