Launched in 2007, New Mexico Airlines was a regional commuter airline that operates services under the Essential Air Services contract. The airline's hub was at Albuquerque International Sunport. The airline was owned by Pacific Air Holdings L.L.C., also affiliated with Sun Air International. New Mexico Airline's fleet comprised of Cessna Caravan equipment. 

On 12-Dec-2014, the airline announced that it was suspending service until further notice.
