About
Firnas Airways is a charter carrier based at London Biggin Hills Airport. It was initially introduced as a prospective scheduled carrier, and planned to become the first airline to develop and offer a full premium service at an economy budget. Firnas launched a Gulf funding and crowd funding campaign in a bid to raise capital for expansion. Firnas Airways established itself as a sharia compliant carrier, serving food meeting halal requirements and using Sharia-compliant financing methods to raise capital. Firnas planned to launch in late 2016 serving Islamabad, Jeddah, Sylhet and New York. Firnas revised its operational strategy and transitioned to a charter carrier, using BAe Jetstream 31 aircraft. It commenced operations on 26-Apr-2019, with London Biggin Hills-Paris Le Bourget service.
