Zimbabwe labour court rules Air Zimbabwe strike illegal

Zimbabwe's Labour Court has ruled the Air Zimbabwe pilot and cabin crew as illegal and has ordered the staff to return to work within 48 hours (VOA News, 07-Apr-2011). Court President Loice Matanda-Moyo said the strikers did not follow provisions of the Labor Act before commencing strike action, which has entered its third week, however management should not penalise them for participating. The Zimbabwe Flight Crew Association and Air Zimbabwe management had no comment. President Robert Mugabe had been expected to intervene in the dispute.
