WestJet intent on gaining slots at LaGuardia

WestJet announces it is still intent on resuming services at LaGuardia Airport despite Delta Air Lines and US Airways recent announcement to drop a proposed slot swap (Financial Post, 05-Jul-2010). Under the slot swap, Delta and US Airways planned to exchange a number of slots at LaGuardia and Reagan National Airport with a small number of slots also offered to low-cost carriers such as WestJet. WestJet stated it is still "working on obtaining slots but through different channels".
