Virgin Blue plans to create a “virtual” low cost cabin for V Australia Fiji services
Virgin Blue stated to the International Air Services Commission that it plans to create a "virtual" low cost cabin in V Australia's aircraft for its proposed Sydney-Nadi service to increase competition on the route and lower fares (The Australian, 11-Sep-09). The carrier added V Australia's proposed entry on the route will also introduce Premium market competition, increase freight capacity and increase consumer choice. Qantas is seeking to introduce Jetstar on the route and plans to sell its 46% stake in Air Pacific.
