Virgin Australia to increase frequencies from Brisbane

Virgin Australia announced (28-Sep-2012) plans to increase frequencies across its Brisbane network with the following schedule changes - see Route Changes Table for more information:

  • Brisbane-Emerald: Frequency increase from 17 to 24 times weekly from 29-Oct-2012 using ATR 72 equipment;
  • Brisbane-Newcastle: Frequency increase from 14 to 19 times weekly from 12-Nov-2012 using Fokker F100 equipment;
  • Brisbane-Rockhampton: Frequency increase from 35 to 41 times weekly from 12-Nov-2012 using ATR 72 equipment.

Virgin Australia group executive alliances, network and yield Merren McArthur said, "Demand from the corporate and resources sectors for more flights for each of these key regional cities has been strong; so we are very pleased to be increasing air services linking Emerald, Newcastle and Rockhampton to Brisbane."
