Vietnam to construct two new airports

Vietnam's Long Thanh International Airport phase one construction will be completed in 2020 and phase two by 2035 (Viet Nam News, 17-Nov-2010). Long Thanh Airport will have a projected capacity of 80-100 million passengers and 3 million tonnes of cargo p/a. The total capital required for the project is estimated to be USD6.74 billion. Tien Lang International Airport will also be constructed in Hai Phong, replacing Cat Bi Airport.
