US Government posts smaller budget deficit in Aug-2010

US Treasury Department stated the US Government posted a smaller budget deficit in Aug-2010, with the excess of spending over revenue totaling USD90.5 billion in the month (Bloomberg, 13-Aug-2010). The gap for the fiscal year that commenced in October stood at USD1.26 trillion compared with USD1.37 trillion in the previous corresponding period.
