US Department of Transportation to decide on oneworld case by end of Oct-2009

US Department of Transportation (DoT) General Counsel, Robert Rivkin, stated the DoT will have "no problem" meeting the Oct-2009 deadline to rule on the anti-trust immunity bid by oneworld carriers, led by American Airlines and British Airways (Dow Jones, 24-Sep-2009). Mr Rivkin also stated that the DoT and the US Department of Justice have harmonised their approaches to reviewing the airline sector.
