US BTS reports 4.9% rise in system-wide pax traffic in Sep-2010

US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reports (09-Dec-2010) the following total system (domestic and international) traffic results for US airlines in Sep-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 57.3 million, +4.9% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +6.6%;
  • Capacity (ASMs): +4.9%;
  • Load factor: 81%, +1.3 ppts;

According to BTS, Delta remained the largest US airline, by total scheduled system enplanements in Sep-2010. The top 10 airlines are as follows:
