US Airways evacuates aircraft at Bradley Airport

US' Bradley International Airport announced passengers and crew were evacuated from a US Airways service after the front landing gear collapsed as the jet backed away from the gate (Reuters, 01-Mar-2011). The aircraft had not yet made it to the taxiway when the problem occurred at 06:45 on 01-Mar-2011. FAA inspectors from Boston have been dispatched to the airport to investigate.
