US airlines' operating profit doubled in 4Q2010
US Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported (28-Jun-2011) the following financial highlights for US domestic airlines:

- International: USD13.9 billion, +16.6%;
- Operating profit: USD1.6 billion, +116%;
- Domestic: USD981.3 million, +340%;
- International: USD658.6 million, +22.8%;
- Operating revenue: USD44.0 billion, +10.4% year-on-year;
- 12 months ended 31-Dec-2010:
- Operating revenue: USD174.5 billion, +12.5%;
- Domestic: USD119.1 billion, +8.6%;
- International: USD55.4 billion, +22.2%;
- Operating profit: USD10.5 billion, +350%;
- Domestic: USD6.0 billion, +393%;
- International: USD4.4 billion, +303%;
- Passenger numbers: 787.3 million, +2.6%;
- Domestic: 629.5 million, +1.9%;
- International: 157.8 million, +5.5%;
- Load factor: 81.9%, +2.2 ppts;
