UPS revenue up 7%, net profit up 66% in 1Q2011

UPS revenue up 7% - financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2011:

  • Revenue: USD12,582 million, +7.3% year-on-year;
    • US domestic package: USD7543 million, +6.2%;
    • International package: USD2900 million, +9.9%;
    • Supply chain & freight: USD2139 million, +7.6%;
  • Operating costs: USD11,156 million, +4.4%;
  • Operating profit: USD1426 million, +36.9%;
    • US domestic: USD849 million, +51.1%;
    • International: USD446 million, +4.4%;
    • Supply chain & freight: USD131 million, +147.2%;
  • Net profit: USD885 million, +66.0%. [more]
