United Airlines: Commercial carriers want alternative fuels

United Airlines CEO, Glenn Tilton, stated both commercial and military aviation in the US would be strong long-term markets for alternative jet fuels and airlines are now "willing to step up and be the buyers" (Reuters, 30-Sep-2009).

United Airlines: "Volatile increases in fuel costs devastate the industry's bottom line. We are actively supporting and seeking funding for this work. We are working with relevant government agencies and also with agricultural interests, universities, independent researchers and the military," Glenn Tilton, CEO.
