Two US Senators express concern of American Airlines/British Airways antitrust immunity application

US Senators, Herb Kohl and Orrin Hatch, have expressed concerns regarding the trans-Atlantic antitrust immunity application by American Airlines and British Airways, noting that such an agreement "raises significant competition issues" and merits close antitrust scrutiny by the US Justice Department (Reuters/Dow Jones, 13-Oct-2009).
