Trans Mediterranean Airlines launches operations at Rafik Hariri Airport

Lebanon's Trans Mediterranean Airlines (TMA) officially launched its operations on 18-Oct-2010 (The Daily Star, 19-Oct-2010). TMA's new headquarters and hangar at Rafik Hariri International Airport was also inaugurated. TMA's fleet was grounded in mid-2005 after Middle East Airlines began to ferry cargo in its new fleet of Airbus aircraft, prompting TMA's management to suspend operations. TMA operates two weekly services to Europe and one to the UAE. Management hopes to increase the services to Europe to four times a week.
