Thai Airways puts plans to reduce government stake on hold

Thai Airways International has put its plans to reduce state ownership and scale back government guarantees on hold, due to bad timing (gctl8.com, 14-Jun-2011). Chairman Ampon Kittiampon stated that now was not the right time for the caretaker government to be pursuing "policy matters" in light of the 03-Jul-2011 general election.
