SpiceJet expands network and fleet with Q400 additions

SpiceJet CEO Neil Raymond Mills stated the carrier will expand its domestic and international networks in the coming summer schedule with the addition of new destinations and aircraft (IANS/Hindu Business Line, 15-Mar-2011). The carrier plans to add eight Q400 to its fleet in 2011. "The first two Q400s will join the fleet in June. We will take the delivery of two more in July and one more in August," Mr Mills said. The carrier plans to begin regional services with the Bombardier aircraft to connect smaller cities with the metros by mid-Jul-2011.
