Small Planet Airlines receives AOC in Germany

Small Planet Airlines announced (12-May-2016) it obtained a German air operator's certificate (AOC) and will operate under German registration. Small Planet Airlines CEO Andreas Wobig stated: "German market was a strategic step that Small Planet Group has considered for quite some time. Once the right partners with local expertise were found, company was ready to make the move. From the beginning there was the intention to establish a German air operators' certificate and to operate flights under the German registration, basing aircraft at both main and regional airports across Germany." The carrier plans to launch operations under the German AOC on 13-May-2016, deploying a fleet of two A320s and operating from bases in Bremen and Paderborn.
