Singapore Airlines to continue 'aggressive push for partnerships' in US and Europe

Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong said (15-May-2015) the airline will continue its "aggressive push for partnerships" in the US and Europe and continue to seek opportunities for more long-haul services to the Americas and Europe. Mr Goh said the markets are challenging due to economic conditions and are not supportive of organic growth. The airline will continue to seek rights to operate US routes via North Asia. Mr Goh said the carrier is open to resuming nonstop routes to North America, but noted, "unfortunately at this point in time, there is no viable commercial aircraft that's able to perform that route."
