Ryanair: we are a distribution platform for other companies

Ryanair deputy CEO and COO Michael Cawley, speaking at CAPA's World Aviation Summit in Amsterdam, stated (26/27-Nov-2013) that the airline uses its huge volume to sell other companies' products and services. Mr Cawley noted Ryanair is not an expert in travel insurance so it believes it should let travel insurance companies sell the product on its platform.
