Ryanair opens Faro base; expects 1.3 million passenger p/a across 30 routes

Ryanair opened (25-Mar-2010) its 39th base at Faro, with the LCC to base seven aircraft at the airport, covering 30 routes. The carrier expects to increase traffic at the airport to 1.3 million passengers p/a, with the base to sustain an estimated 1,300 jobs at Faro Airport. Ryanair celebrated the new base by releasing 1 million EUR5 seats for travel across its European network in late Apr-2010 and May-2010 (for booking made until 29-Mar-2010). New routes include twice weekly Faro-West Knock service - see Route Changes Table for more information. [more - Ryanair] [more - West Knock Airport]
