Qantas Domestic CEO says capacity management 'will need to be responsible' in 2015

Qantas Domestic CEO Lyell Strambi, speaking on the release of its 1HFY2015 results, said (26-Feb-2015) the carrier will "need to be responsible" in its domestic capacity additions moving forward. Mr Strambi added: "One of the benefits coming through from the lower cost base means we can be profitable on markets where we wouldn't have been able to be before." Mr Strambi noted there is little incoming capacity, but clarified Qantas is "moving capacity off of markets that weren't performing as well before and putting it in to others."
