Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific report 2,100 Hong Kong/China cancellations

Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific have reported a combined total of 2,100 cancellations from Hong Kong and Chinese passengers, with 1,000 cancellations at Cebu Pacific and 1,100 at PAL, following a hostage incident involving Hong Kong tourists in the Philippines last week (Manila Times, 02-Sep-2010). CEB stated it has seen a slight softening on forward bookings for its Cebu-Hong Kong and Manila-Shanghai services, but bookings for services from Manila-Guangzhou and from Manila and Clark to Hong Kong are continuing to climb.
