Peach CEO Shinichi Inoue, speaking at the 2014 CAPA Asia Aviation & LCC Summit, stated (13-Oct-2014) is the first LCC to turn a profit in Japan, and is "very pleased" that Peach has been able to prove that an LCC can be successful in high-cost Japan.
