Peach inaugurates Okinawa as second hub, becomes first LCC to serve Okinawa Naha-Fukuoka

Peach officially launched (18-Jul-2014) its second hub at Japan's Okinawa Naha Airport with the launch of the LCC's daily Okinawa-Fukuoka service on 19-Jul-2014, becoming the first LCC to operate on the sector - see Rout Changes Table for more information. Peach will base one aircraft at the airport. Peach CEO Shinichi Inoue commented: "With Naha Airport as our new hub, our access to the skies in Asia will become further expanded. Building upon the new route that we began servicing last year between Okinawa (Naha) and Taipei (Taoyuan), we will proactively push forward our development of new routes from Naha Airport to various parts of Asia and stimulate active demand for visiting Japan." Peach said it would continue its "vigorous bid to develop more routes and to steadily create new aviation demand through its low fares." [more - original PR - Japanese]
