Osaka Kansai International Airport pax up 12%, cargo down 1% in Oct-2013

Japan's Osaka Kansai International Airport passenger numbers up 12% - traffic highlights for Oct-2013:

• Passenger numbers: 1.5 million, +12% year-on-year;
• • Domestic: 529,868, +13%;
  • International: 991,858, +12%;
• Cargo volume: 59,592 tons, -1%;
• • Domestic: 2180, -22%;
  • International: 57,412, stable;
• Aircraft movements: 11,339, +5%;
• • Domestic: 4128, +10%;
  • International: 7211, +3%.

New Kansai International Airport Co, which operates Osaka Kansai, noted (21-Nov-2013) the number of international movements was a record for the airport while attributing the 10% growth in domestic movements to increasing LCC services.
